Adding an ID Card Paper Type to your Printer Paper Options

If you are queuing ID cards to PDF and it's not queuing the correct size, you'll need to add an ID Card sized paper type to your printer.

Adding an ID Card Sized Paper Type to Your Printer

  1. In the windows search, type Printers & Scanners, when you locate it, open it
  2. Scroll down and locate "Print server properties" and click the to expand the menu
  3. Under the forms tab, check "Create a new form", in the Form Name field type ID Card Vertical, in Form Description, enter Width: 2.12, Height: 3.37, then click "Save Form", then close.
  4. Click back on Printer Server Properties and repeat for a horizontal card option
  5. Under the forms tab, check "Create a new form", in the Form Name field type ID Card Horizontal, in Form Description, enter Width: 3.37, Height: 2.12, then click "Save Form", then close/OK
  6. Go back to the list of printers and click on your printer or pdf printer
  7. Click on Printing Preference, then on Advanced
  8. Next to Paper Size select the ID Card Horizontal or ID Card Vertical, then click OK
  9. Select Portrait if you selected a Vertical card, select Landscape if you selected a Horizontal card, then Click Apply then OK
  10. Close your Printers & Scanners window
  11. Queue up your ID Card print job via CORE, then open COREPrint
    1. In COREPrint, right click on the job and select Printer Settings
    2. Select Preferences
    3. Select your orientation, the click Advanced
    4. Select your paper size and click OK
    5. Then click OK on this screen
    6. Click Apply, then OK on this screen
    7. Right click on the job again and print a test page to confirm it's printing correctly, then select Print Entire Job when ready to print all
