CORE Print Template Designer

Print templates can be created via CORE Print using the template designer feature in the CORE Print program. CORE Print templates are XML templates rather than MS WORD templates, so printing to PDF creates one file rather than multiple files.

CORE Print Template Designer

  • Open CORE Print and sign in
  • Click the Template Designer button

  • To create a new template, click File > New Template

  • Enter a name for the new template
  • Enter a description (could be the same as the name)
  • Select Module (Market the events will be setup under in CORE, if TSS select sports)
  • Select the paper type (this needs to be setup before creating your template)
  • Select the number of images you will be pulling into the template (if no images, just select 1)
  • Check Active
  • Click OK

  • Under the Toolbox on the left side you will select what you want to add to the template
    • To select one of the options click and drag it onto the template and place it where you want it
      • Image
      • Text
      • Proof
      • QR Code

    • Once your selection has been drug onto the template, use the corners to size it.  Click in the center of it to move it.
  • When adding text, you'll type in the box on the left side of the screen.  If you wish to use a merge field that will pull information imported into CORE, you select your merge field from the dropdown.
  • To change your font or font color use the font button on the lower left menu.  You may also align your text.

  • If pulling in proofs, make sure you select which proof you want to pull in.  Most common is Picture1
  • When finished, select file and save
