Miscellaneous Events

Many types of events you may photograph that don't fall into a traditional category. Such as, fan photos, car shows, parades, festivals, livestock shows and many other types of events. These type events are typically managed under "sports".

For events that don't fall into a traditional category, you will setup and manage in the "sports" market.  The way you execute the event will be determined by the type of event, if you need to ID images to names, how and when you'll collect contact information and the types of photos you will be taking. Answers to the following questions will guide you to the appropriate method for your event.

Do you need to match images to Names?   Yes   or    No

No Need for Names

Will subjects be photographed by more than one photographer?   Yes/Maybe    or      No

If you don't need to ID to names and subjects are only going to be photographed once by one photographer, we suggest using PhotoMatch ID by Email/Cell

When photographing subjects only one time whether a single or multiple pose, and they will not be photographed again or by another photographer we suggest using PhotoMatch ID by email/cell.   This allows you to positively ID images to a person's email/cell.  Within a few minutes of photographing, your subject will received and email/text with a link to their private gallery.

Need Names

Are you going to get a roster or do you need to collect the names?   Roster   or    I need to collect

I Need to Collect Names

Since you need to collect names, we suggest using either event registration or placeholder name registration.

Event Registration - Event registrations utilizes one QR and URL which means everyone goes to the same registration page.  Subjects will scan and follow the link to register.  Once registered their name will appear in PhotoMatch for the photographer to select before taking photos.  After photos are uploaded a link will be emailed/texted to the subject that goes to their photos.

Placeholder Name Registration - Placeholder name registration means you will use a placeholder name that matches to a unique QR and URL link.  Each subject would be given a card with a unique QR and link to scan and register.  The names will automatically update in CORE.  The photographer can scan the QR card to pull up the name to photograph the subject(s) before taking photos.  After photos are taken the subject will receive an email/text with a link to their photos.  They can also scan the QR to go to their gallery.

The Roster I Am Getting Contains Emails and/or Cells

I Am Not Required to Photograph Everyone on the Roster but I Still Need to Collect Emails/Cells

Since you are not required to photograph all, we would recommend either using Event Registration or Placeholder Name Registration and not importing your roster.  Since your roster has no contact data, it will be easier to just have those who are going to be photographed register, so you can eliminate some unneeded steps.

Subjects May be Photographed More than Once and Possibly by Multiple Photographers

Are the majority of the subjects being photographed over the age of 10 or will there be an adult in each photo?   Yes   or   No

The reason we ask, is face recognition works best on older faces.

We Recommend Using PhotoMatch ID by Face and Email/Cell

After taking a photo, you'll have the adult subject touch their face on the tablet and enter their email/cell.  That will match their email/cell to their face.  They will only need to touch their face once in any photo and all other photos taken of them will be matched using face recognition.

Your Subjects are Under 10 Years Old

Will an adult be present with each child (not necessarily in the photo)?   Yes   or   No

Since an Adult will be Present we Suggest Having the Adult Enter Contact Data

Since we don't recommend face recognition to ID kids, we suggest using PhotoMatch ID by Email/Cell.   You would have the adult enter contact information such as an email or cell, then take photos.  The down side to this option, is it will require you to have them enter an email or cell each time a different photographer takes their photos, or if they return to have photos taken again.

Since No Adult will be Present we Suggest Using Placeholder Name Registration

With placeholder name registration you can scan the placeholder name QR and take photos.  Photos taken after a scan will be matched to that QR.   The QR card can be sent home with the subject to collect contact information and to view the gallery for that QR.  The down side, is you would need each photographer to scan that subjects card before taking the photos, so they can be matched together.
