PhotoMatch Installation Guide (New Computer First Time Installation)

These instructions are for installing PhotoMatch on a computer that has never had PhotoMatch installed before.

If you already have PhotoMatch on your computer and just need to update PhotoMatch please refer to the PhotoMatch update guide.

 


HOW TO INSTALL & SET UP PHOTOMATCH SOFTWARE FOR A FIRST TIME INSTALLATION. 

This installation process is for a computer that has NEVER had PhotoMatch installed.

 

STEP 1:

  • Make sure all Windows Updates are current and you restart your computer before beginning the install.
  • Make sure you follow the next instructions carefully and download the program files in the appropriate order. Below is the order in which each file needs to be downloaded and installed.
    • PhotoMatch

    STEP 2Download the PhotoMatch program files

    • Click here and locate the two PhotoMatch install files.  In the folder you will find a file that ends in MSI and a file the ends in EXE. 
    • Download the MSI file first (but don't open it, just download it). 
    • Then select and download the EXE file.  After download open the EXE file and follow the on screen instructions.
    STEP 3:  Set Up “PhotoMatch” to Run as Administrator.
    • Locate the PM icon on the desktop and right click it and select Properties
    • When the window pops-up, select the “Compatibility” tab.
    • Check "Run this program as an administrator"
    • Then click the "Change high DPI settings" button
      • Under High DPI scaling override, check Override high DPI scaling behavior and select System (Enhanced), click OK
      • Click the “Apply” button, then the “OK” button.


    STEP 4:  Configure PhotoMatch Account Settings.

    1. Locate the PhotoMatch icon on your desktop, then double click the icon to open up PhotoMatch software.
    2. Once open, select the “Settings” button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

    NOTE: The program “Settings” only need to be entered once on each device, unless utilizing multiple account numbers.
    1. Enter “CCS Account Number” and “CCS Account Password” in applicable fields.
      1. This is the password used to access your reporting site, NOT your CORE login and password.
    2. Confirm that the  "Hot Folder" is linked to the "Hot" folder on your desktop within the PhotoMatch Folder
    3. Confirm that the "Destination" is linked to the "Uploaded" folder on your desktop within the PhotoMatch Folder
    4. Click the browser icon to the right of “Destination”, then select the “PhotoMatch” folder that was created on the desktop in step 5.
    5. Only select the options you are going to be using
      1. Optionally select the "Show ID Card Print Option".  Check if printing ID Cards on site.
      2. Optionally select the “Show Match by Cell Phone Only Option on Login Screen”. Check if taking candid photos and matching images to cells/emails ONLY.
      3. Optionally select the “Show Match as Action Photos Option on Login Screen” Check if bulk ID’ing images to a division as action. Requires "action" packages in your offer to use this feature.
      4. Optionally select the “Show Yearbook Allowed Image Option”. Check if photography yearbook photos and only some images are allowed in the yearbook.
    6. Once all selections have been made, click the “Save” tab at the bottom of the pop-up screen.
      1. If you utilize multiple account numbers, the account number and password will need to be entered each time the photographer logs into an event on a different account.
