PhotoMatch Installation Guide (For Updates of Older Versions Only)

Follow these instructions for updating to the newest version of PhotoMatch

If you're installing PhotoMatch for the first time, please refer to the first time installation guide.

 

Make sure all Windows Updates are current and you restart your computer before beginning the PhotoMatch update

 

STEP 1:  UNINSTALL PHOTOMATCH (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!)

    • You ONLY need to uninstall PhotoMatch.  You DO NOT need to uninstall SNAP or SQL.
    •  In the windows search, type "add or remove programs" and select it when it comes up
    •  Find PhotoMatch in the list and click uninstall
      • When uninstall is complete confirm you no longer see PhotoMatch in your list of programs, then move to step 2

STEP 2: Download and open the PhotoMatch install file

    •  Click here to download the latest PhotoMatch install file
      •  Double click on the PhotoMatch file to begin download
      • Once download of the file is complete, double click to open and begin installation
      • Follow the on screen instructions until installation is complete.  Note:  if you get a virus protection warning, click here to follow these instructions, then return to complete installation.
      • Locate the PhotoMatch icon on the desktop and right click it and select Properties
      • Select the compatibility tab and click the Change High DPI settings button  
      • Check Override high DPI scaling behavior and select System (Enhanced) from the dropdown menu, then click OK     
      • When back on the previous screen, click Apply, then OK
      • Open PhotoMatch
      • Click on the Settings Button
      • Confirm your CCS Account Number and CCS Account Password
      • NOTE:  PhotoMatch now automatically creates and maps the Hot and Destination folders.  This is a new location and not the folders you have previously used.  We recommend you backup your current PhotoMatch folder and remove your original Hot and PhotoMatch folders on your desktop.   Leaving the newly created PhotoMatch folder than contains a Hot folder and Uploaded folder within it.
      • Only check the options you will be using
        • Show ID Card Print Option
        • Show Match by Cell Phone/Email option
        • Show Match as Action option
        • Show Yearbook Allowed Image option
      • Save
      • Future updates will be show and be available to download and install via PhotoMatch
        • If you are on the latest version it will show "You are up-to-date" 
        • If there is a newer version/update, it will show an "Update" button
