Selling Group Packages/Products Before the Group Artwork Image is Available (Group Order Hold)
You can now sell your group packages/products on View First events before the group artwork image is available, by enabling "Hold Retail Orders Containing Groups".
Selling Group Packages Using a Group Placeholder
- When setting up your event, check the option "Hold Retail Orders Containing Groups" under add-on features.
Note: This can be added to your workflow
Enabling the "Hold Retail Orders Containing Groups" allows you to offer packages and product containing artwork groups, such as virtual, attitude or composite groups on the retail website without having to wait for your group artwork.
When the feature is enabled you will see a message on the ID Group Images page that shows you are holding retail orders that contain group products from transmitting.
The example below shows 4 divisions have been created and those divisions do not have a group image assigned. But because we are using the placeholders people can order packages with groups. Those packages will be held under the "Orders On Hold Waiting for Group Images" section until you assign your groups, disable the hold and resync the event on retail.
Before images are available, whether you are using PhotoMatch or using CCS Uploader and manually IDing images, you can allow orders of packages that contain groups, even if the division does not yet have a group image.
In place of the forthcoming group, a placeholder image will be used.
Your customers will be able to place orders of packages that contain groups, even before your group image(s) are available.
Orders placed on packages that contain groups will be held in CORE and not transmitted until you have your group images assigned to their appropriate divisions, the hold orders has been disabled and you resync the event to retail.
You can view orders containing groups on the ID Group Images page.
Assigning Completed Group Images and Transmitting Held Orders
When your groups are available, assign the groups to the appropriate division(s). Mark one group image per division as the "primary" group image.
Once all your groups are assigned and a primary has been marked for each group, toggle the "Hold Orders Containing Group" toggle.
Resync the event to retail and your stalled orders will automatically transmit.
Go back to ID Group Images and confirm all your orders have transmitted
