How to Import and/or Create a Product Offer in CORE (Online Order Form)

Offers are collections of packages and products you "offer" your customers. This includes the products they see on the retails website as well as how you order in CORE.

Things to consider before creating a new offer in CORE

CCS Preferred Offers

CCS has created a "Default Preferred Offer" in each market; Grads, Schools, Sports, Etc.  These offers we created using the knowledge we have acquired as the lab that produces the products.  Years of experience in what products and combination of product sell has allowed us to create offers that have led to high order averages and dollars per person photographed.  We HIGHLY recommend using one of the CCS offers.  Below is a pricing spreadsheet you can use to view the offers and edit pricing.  Please reach out to support if you have any questions.

Before You Create Your Own Custom Offer

Before you start in CORE we recommend you use excel to figure out what you plan to offer.

Use the above links to view and download the offer spreadsheet.  It lists out the a-la-carte products as well as, suggested packages.  The spreadsheet automatically calculates the prices of the packages based on the 8x10 unit or 5x7 half unit.  It also allows you to edit the discounts you plan to offer on the packages and calculates the tiered price increases.

It's best to have the products and packages laid out in a spreadsheet so you can figure out pricing before going into to CORE to start building the offer.

Creating a New Offer in CORE

  • Go to the Offers page in CORE
  • Click "Click here to add a new offer"
  • Under Offer Settings
    • Enter a name for your "offer" (make it something that will make sense later when selecting which offer to assign to events)
    • Season:  Default
    • Module:  Select the market (keep in mind, events can only use offers that are setup in the same module/market)
    • Retail Upsell Header:  "You may also be interested in:"
    • Select the options you want to offer
      • Freeform text and graphics allows your customer to put custom text on their images (this is different than titles and logos you setup on the products)
      • Multiple title options for all packages (this allows your customer to select from multiple title styles as long as you have one of the title styles set on your products)
      • User image enhancements (this allows your customer to change their image to black & white, sepia and/or add retouching, if you select and enter a price for those you want to offer)
    • Click Save & Next
    • If you are allowing multiple titles, you can go back in by clicking on the "Offer Settings" button and select the order you want them to be presented to your customers

Editing Your Offer Category Tabs

The tabs represent the category "Jump To" links on the retail website.  Example:  If you have a tab named "Digital Images" your customer can click on that category to jump to your digital image product(s)

  • Click on a tab to edit the name (names have a character limit of 20 and can have only 1 space)
  • You can move your tabs by clicking the left or right arrows under the tab
  • You can delete a tab by clicking DEL under the tab
  • You have up to 6 category tabs.  You don't have to use all of them.

Package/Product Groupings

Groupings allow you to add graphics and/or additional text to show samples and/or details about your package on the retail website.

The first grouping is already set, you can edit it with your package name

Package Graphics

  • Example Below:  The default grouping was renamed to STARTER 0-7 Days and an image was uploaded to show a sample of the package.
  • The image graphic can be a maximum width of 250 pixels.  The height can be any size, but recommend no taller than 800 pixels.
  • Image graphics can be a jpg or png (package grouping graphics are not required, but are recommend so your customer has a visual of what is in the package or of the product)

Adding a package to your grouping

  • Click on "Add Package" on the grouping where you want to add the package

  • Package/Product Name:  What you enter here is what your customer will see in their cart summary and in their order receipt.  It is best to have the package name and list out everything in this package.
  • Package/Product Description:  What you enter here is what you would see on the manual order page in CORE.  It's recommend you enter the package and and what is contained in the package here. (Recommend the same as you enter in the previous box)
  • Online Description:  What you enter here is what your customer will see on the retail website online.  This description supports HTML and some HTML is recommend so the package text looks better on the retail website.
    • The most common HTML used here
      • <b> = starts bold
      • </b> = ends bold
      • <i> = starts italics
      • </i> = ends bold
      • <br> = break to start a new line
      • <font color="#900000"> = makes font the code code entered
      • </font color> = end font color

  • Price Scale (ignore this feature, it is no longer used)
  • Code:  If you are offering online preorders or will be importing orders via a spreadsheet each package needs a unique code
  • Email:  If you want someone to be notified when this package is ordered, enter their email.  This is typically only used for custom products not produced by the lab
  • Tax and Shipping Charges:  Check the options you'd like
    • I want this package/product included when calculating shipping (based on shipping scale.  Your shipping scale must start with $0 for orders that total $0 - $.01). (We don't recommend charging shipping on digital only packages, since nothing is being shipped)
    • I want this package/product included when calculating tax. (Some states don't require charging tax on digital only items)
    • Add additional shipping for this package.  (We don't recommend adding additional shipping, we recommend raising the price of the package to accommodate products that cost more to ship such as plaques, mugs, water bottles, etc.  People tend to be more receptive of a higher price than they are of higher shipping cost.)

  • Where do you want this package/product displayed?:  Check all that apply

      • Restrict this package to ONLY pre-orders. Do not show it for normal online orders. (Check this option if you want this package to ONLY be available while the event is in PreOrder mode.  If this option is checked, this package will not show online while viewing images.)

  • When do you want this package/product offered?  (this setting allows you to choose when this package will be displayed online for your customer to order)
    • Always (Means it will always be displayed)
    • By date range (Means it will only be displayed between the dates entered)
    • By event offset (Means it will be displayed the number of days you enter from the event date) (If using tiered pricing, you'll use this option) (Keep in mind, if have a package you want displayed for the first 7 days, you would enter Available from 0 to 8 days.  It would go away at midnight on the 8th day, meaning it would show through the end of day 7 at 11:59pm.  If you want a new package to take it's place, the next package would need to start on day 8.)
      • Example:  You want to raise your price after week 1 and again after week 2
        • Package 1a would be set for day 0 to day 8

      • None (if you don't want to offer retouching on the images selected in the mix & match package select none)
      • Quick Retouching (If you want your customer to be able to order this retouching on images in the mix and match package check this option and the price you want to charge for each image they select for retouching)

Adding Products to Your Package

If you just clicked Save Package Settings it will automatically take you to the products page.  If you are returning to add or edit products, click on the "Add a Product" button on the package.

  • To locate a product either select one of the categories or type in the filter box.
    • Example:  type 8x10 to narrow to the 8x10 product options

  • Once you have selected a product you will now select the options you want for that product
  • Optional Retail Description Override:  (This allows you to name the product what you want your customer to see.  A good example is when you are offering an 8x10 rendered download.  You would want to override the 8x10 description since your customer will be getting a digital image and not an 8x10 print.)
  • Optional ProductCode:  (not longer used, leave blank)
  • Quantity:  (Enter the number of this product to include) (Note: If this product is a digital product only enter 1 or if you are offering mix and match, you would leave the quantity 1 and add the product again if you are offering multiples, this allows your customer to select an image for each product.  If you enter a quantity here, they will only be allowed to select a single image for the number of products in a quantity.)

  • Contains Group Image:  (Check this option if the product should use the group image instead of their individual image)

Different products are going to have different options to select from.  Choose the options you want for the specific product you are adding to this package.  Keep in mind some options conflict and cannot be selected on the same product.  Example:  You can't select to render (make a digital download) and select a frame.  If you select conflicting opens, it will warn you.
