Staffing Announcement: New Customer Support Manager

Welcoming Rachel Hill Mathews to her new role as Customer Support Manager

Effective Monday, May 2nd CCS will say goodbye to Cristina O’Connor and welcome a new customer support manager. Cristina leaves with all our support and well-wishes as she embarks on a new adventure. We hope that you can take this opportunity to wish her well. She has been a valued member of our CCS team for many years and we know she will thrive in whatever she sets her mind to.

As she leaves, we are excited to announce that Rachel Hill Mathews will become our new CCS Customer Support Manager. Rachel steps into the role with a wealth of knowledge about CCS and the volume photography industry. Please join us in welcoming her to this new position.

A bit about Rachel’s photo business/Candid Background-RachelHillMatthews

Rachel has had a variety of experience in her tenure at Candid Color Systems. She started in our retail department in 2013, first as a photographer before later becoming the Photography Manager. She managed photographers and staffed events, created, and maintained photography diagrams and settings, and also spent time working with event coordinators to ensure their satisfaction with the photography staff. She coached photographers on their photography technique and completed all photography training while working at Candid Color Photography.

She later transitioned to our support department, helping customers with outstanding issues. She quickly became a key team member and was promoted to manage the White Glove (order entry) department where she worked with customers to get their jobs online quickly and accurately and orders processed. This role served to expand her knowledge of our software as well as business practices for a variety of photographers.

We called on her to transition again into a training role in 2020 where she has spent the past two years onboarding new customers as well as coaching experienced customers on our available systems and processes. She has helped hundreds of photographers streamline their business and successfully move to best practices within the Candid Color Systems’ network.

We are thrilled to announce that she is now being promoted to manage our Customer Support Department. We have no doubt that she will be as successful in this role as she has been in her previous roles in her career here at Candid. Her thoughtful analysis of complex issues alongside her ability to make the most complex tasks seem easy will serve her well as she takes on this new position. We know our customers are in good hands!

A bit about Rachel personally-

I was born in Oklahoma but growing up I spent several years in Canada and Venezuela where I learned Spanish, y me encanta cada oportunidad de practicar, asi que hablame! I discovered photography in my high school’s darkroom and was hooked from the moment I processed my first roll. I attended Arizona State University where I received my degree in Art History. Currently, my weekends are filled with coaching my 5 year old daughter Laila’s soccer team and playing with my dogs, Bronson and Maggie.
