Senior Class Groups & More

vggrad1

We believe that you can do very well photographing “Senior Class Groups”. CCP offers senior class groups to several local schools. In the past, we did them in a traditional manner on the bleachers in the school’s gym. Our sales for those have been “ok” – or typically about $1,000 for 10x30 groups at $25 each. Those are worth doing as one person can conduct the shoot in an hour. But there is a better way!

We get better results doing a “Senior Class Group” by photographing individual portraits of each senior (3 poses) and creating a virtual class group with the seniors’ names on it. We averaged over $8,000 for each of the three that we did this way. Our intent is to do many more next school year.

Advantages of doing a virtual Senior Class group:

  • Generate MUCH higher sales and profits by quickly taking individual portraits
  • The names on the pictures of the seniors adds real value for years
  • The seniors are shot in caps & gowns – you supply some that are rotated during the shoot
  • You can often book this outside of any “school contract”
  • They can be shot on your schedule - on weekdays – even late fall and early spring
  • You can often book a senior group if someone else shoots their graduation later
  • You can offer backgrounds on portraits with school scenes or logos
  • We give schools 36”x 60” banners of their group to hang instead of paying commissions

We did Southmoore High School where another photographer was doing their graduation pictures but that took place after our shoot, so it did not affect our sales.

  • It had a 355-person class, so we sent 4 photographers and shot the seniors in about 90 minutes
  • Overall group and individual sales to date are $8,063 or $22.71 per senior photographed
  • Putnam City North, in different district had 313 graduates & sales of $8,547 or $27.84 per senior

Learn how to book and maximize profit on Senior Groups. Attend our Summer Seminar and 50th Anniversary Celebration in Memphis on July 20-22 at Graceland.

***Follow up on the Mustang Jr.- Sr. Prom shot on April 25th: CCP’s sales have inched up to $6,696 for the Partypics.com event. We had 6 photographers there taking 2,468 shots and used selfie registration to gather our contact information. Sales averaged $1,116 for each photographer and our margin was 77%, or $5,156 or $859 per photographer. There was nothing to do after the event but $mile.

Hope to see you in Memphis!
